PENANG: Famous Kueh Teow Th'ng
I was with a bunch of my relatives, hunting for breakfast - and was told this is an execellent spot to dig in for an awesome breakfast.
This is another popular spots, catering more for the locals, so the prices are just right and the authenticity of the dish is more than just well preserved. This places sells good Kuey Teow Soup dishes, whether its Tomyam, some black soup thingy or herbal duck soup.
This place is actually near Chow Rasta, right opposite the police station, not hard to find actually.
Great breakfast, we had variety of food, even an additional Durian D24, simply the best hahaha. The herbal soup was quite good, u can actually have it in options of chicken or duck. Strong herbal soup...
There are also good Fried Kuey Teow, simply delicious, Kuey Chap - actually something like kuey teow but in small 3 x 3cm sizing s. This is serve in some kind of black color soup with eggs, intestines, tongue etc etc.
All the dishes comes about RM3.50 each. Goes beautifully with a nice cup of hot coffee. There are also vendors near by selling Karipap and also fried Veg crackers with seaweed, thats good, about RM3.50 a packet.
